For a variety of reasons many artists are not able to participate in Open Studios. In our efforts to be an inclusive arts organization, Washington County Arts Alliance created Online Studios in collaboration with a Hillsboro Arts and Culture Council grant and Golden Road Studios videography services. Online studios is a project that was piloted in 2021 and allows these artists to participate by presenting their art online. It has been expanded for 2023, our six featured artists are listed below.
Veronica Lake
Veronica is a mixed media painter who works out of her home studio in Washington County, Oregon. She specializes in watercolor, acrylic, mural painting, collage, pastels and alcohol inks. Her greatest joy is teaching students of all ages from 5 to 90 years of age; especially those who have never created any art or who lack confidence. Rebecca Quinn
Rebecca Quinn is an artist who specializes in photo encaustic and collage, and enjoys exploring all aspects of encaustic painting. “I have been painting for three years and would love to share my paintings with a wider audience. Alaka Sarangdhar
Alaka is a mosaic artist who works out of her home studio in Washington County. Luis Jimenez
Luis is a mixed media artist who works out of his home studio in Washington County, Oregon. He specializes in pyrography an ancestral art form that reflects his Puerto Rican heritage. Paige Schafer
Paige creates functional, hand painted resin art. Her collection includes cutting boards, serving trays, wine glasses, coffee cups, and jewelry.
