Artist’s Statement: For more than 15 years, I have been playfully exploring the boundaries of what a professional portrait might be, using my skills as an expression coach, sociologist, and musician to connect with clients and help get individuals past their fear of being photographed. Through warmth, authenticity, and irreverence I invite conversation and collaboration – creating incredible portraits that allow a bit of a person’s soul to shine through. My 2024 portrait series features creative Oregonians who dive deep into their zone of genius. I invite Open Studio visitors to come view printed work on display at my photo studio in Sherwood and peek the behind-the-scenes of a creative portrait session in progress.
