Artist’s Statement: I have painted, acted, written and photographed my entire life. My career trajectory, like my work, has been unique, colorful, and adventurous! My interest in emotional nuance, love of distant lands and people, and passion for composition are reflected in all my work. My paintings have been shown extensively in New York city and Long Island. My photographs have been published in many periodicals, including Life, Parade, and Holiday, and on UN promotional posters. My love of Oregon began when my nephew and niece moved to the Pacific Northwest in the early 1990s. I visited them and their young families several times a year for well over a decade. Ms. Bernay passed away in 2020. Her niece is showing the collections relocated from New York.
