Media: mixed media collage, clothing designs, meditative drawing
Artist’s Statement: I have been a working artist for 20 years. I’ve had experience curating shows, working within an art collective and mentoring at-risk and incarcerated youth through art. My goal as an artist is to provoke thought, inspire change and invoke in others the desire to create for themselves. My primary medium is mixed media collage, as well as do meditative drawing and graphic design work for Zenning Clothing, a company I’ve recently started. I’ve always been artistic with an overwhelming need to create. I’ve chosen collage as my medium because it allows me to take snippets of society and reflect it back at itself. I love scissors and glue. My current series of large scale collages are a satirical time capsule of the last 40 years of world events.
